Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the ScanDex mobile application and website handle information. ScanDex is operated by SandboxxGaming.

1. Information stored by the app

• Collection data — cards you scan or manually add, quantities, variants, binders, chase lists, favourites, prices, and settings.
• Card photos — photos you take or save inside the app are stored locally on your device.
• Profile details — a collector name and optional profile photo, stored locally unless a future cloud feature is enabled.
• Local backup files — if you choose to export your data, ScanDex creates a file that you control and store yourself.

2. Cloud backup status

Cloud backup has been removed or paused for now. ScanDex does not currently advertise automatic cloud backup or cloud photo storage. Future cloud features may be added later, and this policy will be updated before those features are offered.

3. Camera and scanning

ScanDex uses your camera to scan cards. Camera frames are processed for card recognition and are not sold or used for advertising. Saved scanned-card photos remain local unless you choose to export them in a backup file or share them yourself.

4. Analytics and crash information

ScanDex may use basic analytics and crash reporting to understand app performance and fix bugs. This is used to improve the app, not to sell your personal data.

5. Purchases

Paid features such as ScanDex Pro are processed through Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Google Play handles payment processing under Google's own terms and privacy policy.

6. Price data and third-party services

Card price data may be retrieved through ScanDex server-side proxies and third-party market data sources. API keys stay on the server and are not included in the app. Pricing is provided as an estimate only.

7. Website forms and support emails

If you register interest, email support, or submit a website form, we receive the details you provide, such as your name, email address, country, collection size, and message. We use this to manage early access, respond to support requests, and improve ScanDex.

8. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your collection data with other users unless you deliberately export, show, send, list, or share it yourself.

9. Data deletion

You can delete local app data by using the in-app reset tools or uninstalling the app. If you sent us a support request or early access registration and want it removed from our records, contact us at the email below.

10. Children's privacy

ScanDex is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as ScanDex changes. The updated date above will change when the policy is revised.
